Post-Production

This is the post-production area so will include different parts of the Thriller that would be done after production. For example there will be advertising items here and different things like that.
Distribution

An important part to consider is how to distribute your new thriller to an audience. With the rise in many different Web 2.0 technologies it has become an important part of any production to be able to publish the content on to an online platform. This may be something like Netflix or it could be something like iTunes. Of couse the difference between the two is that Netflix is a monthly subscripition service and iTunes is a buy or rent service.

I personally feel that if I was trying to distribute this film I would release it first at cinema it would then be released on digital first two weeks before the DVD and Bluray relase (to encourage digital purchases). The DVD and Bluray versions would be released roughly 3 months after it was shown at cinema, this is about the average time it takes to come out from cinema.
YouTube Advert

Do not be fooled by the title, this advert could be served on many different websites as well. The example I see fit is as a YouTube advert (one of the adverts that pop up as an overlay during your video watching). It would be linked to our website where they would be able to see where it was on and view the trailer for it.

Our Website

The website is located at another URL which I make and maintain content for. It is located at https://daccaa.com/thedeal. A screenshot of the website can be seen below. I wanted to get quite a simplistic website which had a captive enough background to draw attention. The website would in future provide more information (if this was a real project) and would have the ability to book tickets or find where the film is showing for the audience. It may even have an interactive game or factfile part about all of the characters. This would not however be released until after the film has been out at cinema.

I would like to point out that in a real context you would have a domain like www.thedeal.com however it costs money to register domains and as I already have daccaa.com I thought I would just use that as it is only an example.

Our DVD Cover

Our DVD cover was designed on being similar to the poster as I feel that it allows people to draw a connection between the poster and the DVD cover as they are both very similar so subconsciously people will hopefully make the connection and be more likely to purchase the DVD.

Our Poster

This is the poster that I have created that would be used to advertise the film, this may be used in bus stops or any other places suitable for advertising. It is aimed at obscuring the identity of the two people dealing the drugs however the main character is vagely noticable in the background but he is not blurred. He is not blurred as this tells the viewer that he is the good guy in all of this. I have kept the poster similar to many other posters that you would see nowadays with the actors names at the top, the directors name, other things the director has done, the date of release, the website address.
